The airport code for the airport in Rome is FCO, Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. The airport is about 20 minutes to the city center and 45 mins to an hour from the cruise port.
Air schedules should be available roughly 11 months from your intended return date. I like to use Google Flights to check pricing, routes, etc. Just keep in mind, not all airlines are listed in Google Flights.
Flight should arrive 6 hours prior to Cruise Departure Time of 5:00 PM.
Flight should depart 6 hours after Cruise Arrival Time of 6:00 AM.
*I always recommend flying in at least 1 day prior to the cruise to avoid any issues with flight delays or cancelations.
I will be arranging transfers to/from the airport and cruise port depending on individuals arrangements.
There is train service between Central Rome and Civitavecchia. It is very cost effective, however you will have to navigate the train stations with your luggage (up and down stairs). The train station in Civitavecchia is about a 10 minute walk from the cruise port.
Taxis, Uber are readily available with the city
Trains and Public transportation are avaiable at the airport and in the city
Train service is available between the city center/airport and the Cruise Port
Private transfer/buses to/from the cruise port can be arranged if group members are interested

The cruise port is located in Civitavechia, Italy. It is about a 1 hour car ride or train ride from Central Rome.
All guests should plan on arriving at the port NO later than 11:00AM.
Our plan currently is to fly to Europe and spend 1 night in Rome prior to the cruise. We will then spend 4-5 days in Rome after the cruise.
